  Detailed Itinerary for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra  

 

Day Zero: 18-June-2020​

• BT Vans will reach your home/hotel by 10 a.m, pick you up from there and drop you at the Airport

• Board the Flight to Delhi at around 12 noon along with your escort who will meet you at Airport

• From Delhi Airport, our cabs will take you directly to the Camp Hotel

Day 01: 21-June-2020 : Arrive in Kathmandu (1450 m)

​

• At around 7 a.m BT Vans will pick you up from the Delhi Camp Hotel, drop you at the airport

• Along with BT Team, board the flight to Nepal (Kathmandu)

• Gear up for one of the most memorable adventures of your life today as you reach the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Get transferred to the Hotel.

• After check-in, you can spend the day to relax and get acquainted with the the beauty called Kathmandu.

• A bewitching city in the foothills of the Himalayas, exploring Kathmandu is an experience- an emotion so blinding- you will instantly fall in love with the place. With an air of affability, be prepared to be welcomed with open arms as you visit one of the many busy streets of the city or stop by the courtyard's filled with dry chilies and rice. Seek blessings at the temples or revel in the exquisite cultural glory of the place as you view its enchanting sites.

• Dinner will be served at the hotel in the evening after which you get a good night's sleep for the next day that marks the beginning of this fantastic trip.

Day 02: 22-June-2020 Kathmandu Sightseeing and arrival in Nepalgunj (150m) (1.5 hr flight) 

(Kathmandu - Nepalgunj)​

After breakfast, get ready to explore the beautiful city of Kathmandu with a visit to the ancient Pashupatinath and Budhanilkantha temples. After you return to the hotel, transfer to the domestic airport to board your 1-hr-30-min flight to Nepalgunj to begin your journey to Kailash Manasarovar. On arrival at the Nepalgunj Airport, head to the hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 3: 23-June-2020

Arrive in Simikot (Nepalgunj - Simikot) (150 m) (2910 m) (50 min flight) 

Early morning, leave for Nepalgunj Airport and board the 50-min flight to Simikot. As weather conditions keep changing, there are often delays in the flights; hence, it is advisable to take the first available flight to Simikot. On reaching Simikot, take the helicopter flight to Hilsa that will take around 25 mins. On arrival, walk for 10mins and cross the border and drive to Taklakot to fill out all the formalities for immigration. Then, proceed to the hotel and check in at Purang Guest House.

 

Day 04: 24-June-2020

Acclimatization at Purang (4,755 m)​

Spend the day resting at your hotel or go out for a walk to visit the local markets. This day is meant for acclimatization for the tedious yet rewarding Kailash Mansarovar Yatra ahead.  
 

 

Day 05: 25-June-2020

Drive from Purang to Lake Mansarovar (Taklakot - Manasarovar, 90 KMS | 1.5 hour) (4,590 m)​

Post breakfast, board a bus to Lake Mansarovar. As the bus passes through scenic locales, it will make a stop at Rakshas Tal (Lake of Demons) where you can get the first glimpse of the sacred Mount Kailash. You will then head to Chiu Gompa located near Lake Mansarovar and halt at the guest house for the night. You can spend the rest of the day experiencing the beauty of Lake Manasarovar, take a dip in its holy waters, or perform rituals, it is all up to you.

 

Day 06: 26-June-2020

Drive Upto Darchen and Overnight stay (4,575 m| 53 km | 2 hrs )​

Today morning, after relishing your breakfast, you’ll drive up to Darchen covering a distance of 53 km. It will take you around an hour to complete the distance, post which you can check-in at the guesthouse to keep your belongings. You can spend the rest of the time at your own leisure, or head-out to explore your surroundings.
 

Day 07: 27-June-2020

Drive to Yama Dwar (1 hr) | Trek to Dirapuk (4,920 m | 5-6  hrs)​

Freshen up in the morning and eat breakfast served hot and fresh. Firstly, you will be driven to Yama Dwar where you will meet Yak and Yak men. This marks the beginning of the parikrama and is the first day of kora. If you wish to avail the services of a Yak and/or a porter to help you with your luggage, you will hire one right here. In the course of your trek today, you will have the first darshan of Holy Mt. Kailash (North face). Rest in the night at our camp in Dirapuk..

 

Day 8: 28-June-2020

Dirapukh - Domla La - Zuthulphuk, 22 KMS | 9-10 hour | 5800 m​

Get up before dawn to witness the first rays of the sun falling on Mount Kailash, creating a spectacular sight of a “Golden Kailash”. After a light breakfast, trek towards Zuthulphuk. This is a steep trek upto Dolma La Pass (5630 m) for 3-4 hours and a steep descent to Gauri Kunda. From there on, you will trek a flat valley for 2.5 hours and walk for 2-3 hours on flat land. You must carry a packed lunch and hot drinking water. On crossing the Dolma La Pass, you will able to see Gauri Kunda. After walking for some time, you will break for lunch. You need to be careful while walking downhill as the terrain is steep and rocky. You will soon reach flat trail that leads to Zuthulphuk, your destination for the night halt. Check in at the guest house or in a tent. After dinner, you can wind up for the day for much-deserved rest. Travelers who are riding on a yak/horse also need to walk for 2-3 hours on the trek downhill after Dolma La Pass..

 

Day 9: 29-June-2020

Trek to Darchen (10 km) (3 hrs) & Drive back to Sher and continue exit to Hilsa

Begin early today and set out on a 10 km trek (4-5 hours) to reach the final stop of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra near Darchen. Meet with our team waiting in vehicles to be driven to Sher. On reaching, descend from there and cross a bridge to reach Hilsa. Overnight stay in the hotel/guesthouse

 

Day 10: 30-June-2020

Hilsa to Simikot to Nepalgunj to Kathmandu 

Wake up to eat a scrumptious breakfast. Following that, take the chattered helicopter to Simikot and then take the connecting flight to Nepalgunj. Arrive in Nepalgunj and further fly to Kathmandu. On reaching, check-in at a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11: 1-July-2020 : Departure
 

• Today, pack to take a flight back home from Tribhuvan International Airport. By 1p.m we will reach Delhi Airport

• At 3 p.m board a flight from Delhi  back to your city

• BT Cabs will be waiting at your city Airport to drop you back Home
